Holiday 2018 gift guide: gifts for me

And now, the most fun installment of my holiday gift guide: gifts for meeeee! These are the things on my wish list, from affordable to dream on, girl. Hence the name, dream gifts. Let's hope Santa sees this one before it's too late!

1. Remember these from your childhood, where you got to open a chocolate every day until Christmas? Same concept, but Diptyque candles, perfumes, and bath products instead. I've been wanting one of these for years and am amazed this year's version is not yet sold out.
Diptyque advent calendar $425

2. I already own two camel coats, but this is the one that's been knocked off left and right this season, and thus the one that I really want. It's like a bathrobe and a coat had a baby, and it's perfect.
Acne Studios Carice coat $1,450

3. I am a huge fan of RMS—I use their concealer, powder, blush, and bronzer, but I haven't tried their lipsticks yet. This would be a fun way to sample them, and and it's something I probably wouldn't buy for myself (which makes it the perfect gift).
RMS Beauty Wild with Desire mini lipstick set $35

4. Real talk: I HATE shaving. I've lasered off my armpit and bikini-line hair, but haven't done my legs due to the prohibitive cost (and the fact that my leg hair is blonde). For less than the cost of one IPL session, I'd be willing to give this a try, especially since it has rave reviews.
Gilette Venus silk expert IPL $249.94

5. Years ago when I lived in NYC, I got electric-current facials, and as scary as they sound, they made my skin look amazing—glowy, firm, etc. This at-home device has a cult following for delivering similar results, and the longer I can stave off a facelift, the better.
ZIIP Beauty kit $495

6. Wouldn't it be nice if you could just have one glass of wine from a nice bottle without opening the whole thing? You can! This ingenious device drills a tiny hole in the cork from which you can then pour yourself a glass; the cork then naturally re-seals itself, and you can reopen the rest of the bottle at a later date. The fact that it comes in a rose gold finish is just icing on the cake.
Coravin Elite 2 Pro $400

7. I love pretty much everything Loeffler Randall does, and these boots are no exception. They're the perfect shape, with a not-too-high heel, and they will simultaneously go with nothing and everything in my closet.
Loeffler Randall Naomi boots $650

8. iPhone cases are kind of the bane of my existence. Why can't Apple just make a phone that won't break when you drop it? Ok, I get that they're self-expression of a sort, but why are they always so expensive? That said, Richmond & Finch makes really fun, unique patterns, and I'd be happy to receive one as a gift.
Richmond & Finch phone case $46

9. I have the smaller version of this bag, and it's the best carry-on for short trips, however it's just a bit too small to use as an overnight bag. The deluxe size would fit the bill, and can even double as a carry-on for longer trips. I think this one might be a definite (thanks, Mom!), but I'm including it here juuuust in case.
Lo & Sons Catalina Deluxe Tote $89.60  (on sale)
