Andy Sachs T-bar necklace dupes

Like many millions of people around the world, I recently saw The Devil Wears Prada 2. While it's probably not destined to become the classic that the original film is now considered to be, I was highly entertained—the locations are gorgeous, the celebrity cameos are too many to count, and of course the fashion is to die for. And while I found myself designer-spotting much of the wardrobe (Valentino! Dries Van Noten! And even Nili Lotan!), the piece that I couldn't get out of my head was the gold toggle necklace that Anne Hathaway's character, Andy Sachs, wears in many of her scenes. I promptly came home from the theater and Googled it; it's a $10,000 Jemma Wynne necklace that there's absolutely no way Andy could afford on her journalist's salary, unless maybe she saved up for several years. So I set out to find a good dupe or several that Andy—and the rest of us—could actually afford.

1. The chunky shape and weight of this Missoma necklace are very close to the original, although based on the description, it might be an inch or two longer, and I should also note that like most of the options here, this one is not diamond- (or CZ-) encrusted. Also worth noting: Missoma sells this one bundled with a pearl necklace, helpfully called the Andy everyday pearl set

2. My favorite option is this Tilly Sevaas T-bar necklace, although to be fair, it was on my radar long before DWP2 thanks to my friend Jessica, who introduced me to the brand (it's sold at Liberty of London). I like that they offer it in a bunch of different sizes and lengths, and in all manner of chains and finishes. Hey, if it's good enough for Taylor Swift...

3. For slightly more affordable options, Etsy is always a good source, although make sure you read the reviews and policies for each seller, especially for those located abroad. The seller of this T-bar necklace has rave reviews, and I also appreciate the customization options offered.

4. While all of the above are 18k gold-plated brass or sterling silver, I wanted to offer an option under $100, however with the cost of gold driving everything up nowadays, I will do that with a caveat. This not-so-subtly named "Andy" necklace by Jeulia is plated stainless steel, and while it so far has only positive reviews, I worry that the plating might wear off before DWP2 hits the streaming platforms. That said, this one has a great-looking belcher chain and I like the extra sparkle that the stone adds.
