Get the look: white tee and pleated linen pants

Lately, the most saved looks on my Outfit Ideas for Ageless Style Pinterest board have been dresses, so I was somewhat surprised to see that this week's most popular look involves pants. That said, it's one of my favorites thus far, and it's totally perfect for summer—it's chic, it's timeless, it's neutral, and it's minimalist. Putting it together was oddly a bit of a challenge, but I'm really happy with how it turned out. Let's break it down.

The easiest piece to find was the white T-shirt. You probably already have one like this in your closet, but if not—or if you need a fresh one—you can't go wrong with this $16 cotton crewneck tee. Bonus points for the model being Ally Walsh, one of my current faves (and she's a delight to work with).

The pants are clearly the cornerstone of this outfit, and they're very specific: high-waisted, pleated, and most likely linen. Pants with this slight paper-bag effect are not necessarily easy to find in this era of athleisure, but I was quite happy with these Robert Rodriguez trousers, which are on mega sale (60% off!) at Nordstrom. The color is not quite the same, but the silhouette is nearly identical—all you have to do is roll the cuffs.

The belt is also a key piece in this look because it emphasizes the high-waisted silhouette of the trouser and defines the waist. The woman in the photo is wearing a belt with a covered leather buckle, also something that's not so easy to find, but thankfully this Madewell belt is just about perfect. I'd suggest going for the bigger size so you can tuck the end down like she did.

I really like the sandals the woman is wearing and with the big buckle on the middle strap, the design is really unique. These Sole Society sandals are a bit lighter in color, but the oversized buckle is similar, and I think they're pretty cool overall.

A studded brown shoulder bag was also harder to find than one would expect, but I was happy with this $35 Moda Luxe bag from Target. Like the belt and sandals, the shade is a little lighter than in the photo, but I think it would work well tonally, and the price is right!
