What to wear in December

My plans to shoot an outfit post were thwarted by the rain we had all weekend in LA (yes, it does rain in Southern California), so instead, I thought I’d share some of what I’ve been wearing lately on Instagram. I used to shoot my daily outfits in the bathroom at work, but since my new job has truly terrible lighting (and the ladies’ room is always crowded), I’ve been trying to do a better job of showing more everyday looks in my feed. In case you’re still not following me on IG (yes, that was a shameless plug!), here’s what I’ve been wearing.

Around town
This is an outfit composed entirely of things you’ve seen before—I wore the coat last December, the sweater in NYC, the leggings in February, and the boots just last month. And yes, that’s also my beloved A.P.C. bag that I carry all the time. I wore this to brunch with the girls and was super comfy and cozy the entire time.

OUTFIT DETAILS: Kenneth Cole coat | Everlane alpaca sweater | Proenza Schouler tee | Cabi leggings (very similar here) | A.P.C. sac demi-lune | Calla Giorgia boots (c/o)

In wine country
In what was probably the last nice day of the season in Sonoma, I wore a sweater-blazer (last seen in NYC) with a classic white shirt (last seen with a slip skirt), jeans that my friend Katie gave me, and all of my Gucci accessories (belt last seen with leopard; shoes with tie-dye in the spring). These jeans are super comfy and run big, however I realized they kind of made my legs look like tree trunks. Speaking of running big, I recommend sizing down in the loafers too!

OUTFIT DETAILS: J.Crew Sophie blazer | Madewell shirt | Old Navy flare jeans | Gucci Marmont belt | Gucci Brixton loafers

On Black Friday
I was cold in LA for the first time ever this weekend. It was rainy, it was chilly, and I could see my breath when I went outside to walk Zuni! So, strangely, I wore what felt like appropriate clothes for Thanksgiving weekend: a camel coat (last seen with all white), black cashmere turtleneck (you saw it last year), jeans, and boots (last seen with a midi skirt).

OUTFIT DETAILS: Uniqlo camel coat | Inhabit turtleneck sweater (similar here) | Frame le high straight jeans (current version here) | A.P.C. sac demi-lune | Vionic Lacey boots (c/o)

I am glad that you shamelessly plugged your IG because I wasn’t following you, but I am now! I love your daily outfits. I need to get better at photographing my regular daily wear, too. But I need to do it myself with a remote and I still am not entirely comfortable with shooting that way. Oh well. Thanks for linking up with me!

I like your black Friday outfit, what a lovely coat! :) it's good you manage to get pics while out and about - I really struggle with that, I'm trying to get better at snapping pics now and then though, when I have my 5 year old to help me, haha!

Thanks for joining the #WeekdayWearLinkup! A new link up is live on my blog now, I'd love you to join again :)
Hope that you had a great weekend :) We went to the movies and another Christmas party.
