5 spring transitional outfits

Sunny and 70 degrees one day, raining and 40 degrees the next—sound familiar? It even snowed in parts of the country last week, which just feels insulting in May. Dressing for spring weather always presents a unique set of challenges, but one that I'm up for. So while many of us are still sheltering in place, parts of the country are starting to open up, so that means no more sweats, people. Here are some spring transitional outfit ideas to wear until the weather fully commits to summer.

Long cardigan and midi skirt
For those who argue that nothing is more comfortable than sweats, I present the ribbed midi skirt and long cardigan, which basically feels like a bathrobe. You may want to switch out the heels RN, but the belt bag is very handy.

OUTFIT DETAILS: Halogen cardigan | Pact tee (c/o) | Free People skirt | Madewell belt bag | Vionic Lacey bootie (c/o)

White jeans and a light jacket
It's (almost) summer, so naturally you want to wear white jeans. (I wear them year-round, TBH.) That's totally cool—just don't forget to layer up.

OUTFIT DETAILS: Free People jacket | Everlane silk blouse | Old Navy Power Straight jeans | Audette Coffret bag | Calla Ava shoes (c/o)

Raincoat and white boots
Impractical, yes. Chic, also yes.

OUTFIT DETAILS: A.P.C. trench | Everlane texture cotton cardigan | Topshop denim skirt | Sam Edelman Rowena boots | A.P.C. sac demi-lune | Free Press newsboy cap

Linen blazer and gray jeans
We're getting a little more confident that things are warming up. Again, layers are still necessary, but a bit lighter now.

OUTFIT DETAILS: Free People Simply Perfect blazer | Marine Layer tee | Frame Le High Straight crop jeans | A.P.C. sac demi-lune | Calla Ava leopard shoes (c/o)

Leather jacket and white denim skirt
Bare legs alert! This is one for when you're pretty sure the weather is going to go in your favor, but you really want to be sure, so you bring a leather jacket juuuuust in case.

OUTFIT DETAILS: Banana Republic jacket | Zadig & Voltaire tee | Topshop denim skirt | Audette Coffret bag | Zara sandals (similar here)

Such great outfits! I really like the leather jacket and skirt together but with the long cardi is my favourite! I left a long cardigan behind at work, I didn't know I wouldn't be back in the office, and I'm kinda missing it now the cold weather is here! :)

Now I'm leaving the house for the school run I'm trying to adjust back to getting dressed more often, haha! I miss the pyjamas and loungewear!

Hope that you are having a nice weekend :)

So much goodness here, Cheryl! I here you about the fickle weather! I am loving the midi skirt with long cardigan and your white denim skirt with those amazing white boots. And I have to mention those adorable yellow sandals as well. I am sartorially inspired to the tenth degree! Thanks for sharing and linking up.
