Spring & Summer 2026 trend report

I usually roll out a series of spring trend posts, but considering we are technically a month away from the official start of summer, I decided to roll everything into one tightly edited trend report. Everything here is on my shopping list for this season, and instead of showing a variety of options for each category, I picked one really good hero product plus an under-$100 dupe since I know you love those. Here are the spring and summer 2026 trends I'm most excited about.

Paracord sandals

This trend technically started last year with this Miu Miu sandal and while there were a bunch of dupes available then, it took me a minute—or a year—to decide if this trend was worth participating in. I am not particularly outdoorsy unless you count drinking wine outside, although that's an activity these sandals would be perfect for. I like how these Flowze Flo sandals add a nice little pop of color (they're available in several different shades) while minimizing the Teva influence.

Dupe: Currently $14.99, these Old Navy rope sandals are simple, but they get the job done.

Beaded pouch bag

Prada may have started this trend by sending satin pouches down the runway, but they give me shoe dustbag vibes. I much prefer the more embellished, maximalist execution of bags like the Etro Kalispera. Full disclosure: it's a splurge, but hopefully one you'll have for much longer than this particular trend cycle.

Dupe: This Free People beaded bag captures a similar beading-and-fringe ethos, at a fraction of the price.

Toile-print dress

Is this a trend? It is now, according to me! There's something so summery about a flowy minidress, especially in a sweet print. I like how brands like Staud have updated toile—instead of the traditional pastoral scenes, their Vincent toile shirtdress has a tropical-vacation motif.

Dupe: This Aqua toile mini dress is just as cute and breezy (and half the price).

Taffeta pants

Designers have been trying to make sheer layers happen for a few seasons now; while see-through clothes may look directional on a runway, they are highly impractical in real life. That said, I feel like we may have finally found a solution in taffeta pants, particularly this Chan Luu techno taffeta barrel pant. They're not sheer, but they're definitely opaque—and that, to me, is the perfect compromise.

Dupe: These Zara barrel pants aren't quite as elevated in terms of fabrication, but the shape and sheen get the idea across.

Chunky beaded necklaces

Like clothes, jewelry has been in a minimal trend for awhile, which was fun while it lasted but I'm ready to move on. Specifically to chunky, brightly colored beaded necklaces, and bonus points if they have some kind of hardware detail like a carabiner. This Spicy Dan Garcia necklace fits the bill exactly.

Dupe: I don't particularly love the charms on this Madewell carabiner necklace but maybe they can be removed?

Oh nooo, taffeta! I remember it from the 80s when I had a taffeta dress. Very uncomfortable. I'll swerve that trend but like the toile and pouch bags....

Very inspiring overview of Spring/Summer 2026 styles and color directions. It’s always exciting to see how fashion evolves each season, and this post captures it nicely. For fashion bloggers and content creators, tools like collage online can be really helpful for presenting multiple looks and trend inspirations in a clean, visual format.
