The top products of 2021

Happy new year, and welcome to 2022! But first, one more post about 2021. This blog is called Cheryl Shops for good reason, but obviously you do a lot of shopping too. Once again, thank you for doing so—when you make a purchase using my links, I get a small finder's fee (at no cost to you), and that income helps me continue to create more free content for you. Everyone wins! Speaking of wins, I always like to look back and see what the most popular items of the year were, both out of curiosity and in the interest of featuring more of what you like. Based on this year's bestsellers, that would be cashmere sweaters, Spanx pants, and skincare. Here are the top products that Cheryl Shops readers bought in 2021.

Doratelier santal oil

This was by far and away your most-purchased item of the year, probably because the original post went viral on Pinterest and is responsible for a big chunk of my search traffic. I have gone through multiple bottles of this oil myself and can't recommend it enough—and obviously over 500 of you agree!

Naked Cashmere Waverly sweater

I've featured this sweater in multiple posts, and while the exact style is sold out, here's one that's very similar. BTW, Naked Cashmere is hands down my favorite cashmere brand, and I'll be featuring my newest sweater from them very soon.

Spanx Perfect Black Pant, Ankle 4-Pocket

These are from a 2020 post that still gets a ton of traffic—y'all love my honest reviews, particularly for Spanx. More importantly, these pants are comfy, flattering, and all-around amazing.

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask

I love this mask: It makes my skin brighter, smoother, and softer, without any irritation whatsoever. Plus, it smells nice and botanical. I will happily pay full price for it, but I always stock up on it during Sephora's sales ;)

Spanx Flare Jeans

Skinny jeans are dead; long live flares! I love the look of this pair, and turns out you do too. They do require a heel, but the result is mile-long legs and a perfectly comfy feel.

Greenpan Venice pro pan

This one kind of surprised me since I don't include a ton of home/kitchen content, but I'm glad you love this pan as much as I do. Once you learn its quirks (don't use with olive oil or on high heat), it cooks super evenly, doesn't stick, and cleans up like a dream. (This is Impossible Meat, btw, which I highly recommend as a plant-based beef substitute!)

Maelove The Hydrator

This is kind of a funny one because I didn't actually try this product in my honest review of Maelove, but I've heard it's a pretty good dupe for the Drunk Elephant B-Hydra. To be fair, you also bought a lot of the Night Renewer, which I did review (and love).

Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream

I was also a little surprised to see this product in the top 10 because while I liked it, I was not totally enamored with it (and I don't think it's worth the $170 price tag—here's why). Although maybe that's just an unpopular opinion!

Halogen open front cardigan

Nordstrom tends to include this sweater during their Anniversary Sale in July, which is when a bunch of you jumped on it. It's long, it's lightweight—it's a no-brainer.

Naadam $75 sweater

Finally, I don't actually own this sweater, but it continues to be one of the most popular items featured in my roundup of the best direct-to-consumer cashmere brands. (For the record: I do have another Naadam sweater that I love, just not this one!) Maybe I should try it an give it an honest review ;)

I agree it's interesting to see the rich cream on the list as your review confirmed for me why I'd never splurge on it, haha! I can see why each of the clothing items was often bought - you wear them all so well! :)

Hope that the first week of 2022 is going well for you :)

I need those jeans!!! Congratulations on the viral pin. Excuse my ignorance but I have no idea what santal oil is. But it seems like the Amazon version is a great buy. Wishing you many pins and lots of visits. Hugs!
