If you're one of those people who practically lives in your denim jacket, I don't blame you – it's comfortable, timeless, effortlessly laidback-cool, and goes with almost everything (even other denim, if you dare!). But as the weather heats up, jackets become more and more of a nuisance during the day... and you'll likely feel the need to catch a breather from your favorite jean staple (if not from any form of sleeves in general). So why not consider the next best summer-friendly thing – a sleeveless denim vest! Perfect for layering over anything from tees and tanks to dresses, a denim vest adds a casual-cool vibe and tomboy-inspired sportiness to any outfit, whether you're beating the heat at a barbecue or just looking for a cool way to cover up at the beach. TheFind Guest Post: The Nautical Trend Continues With Striped Accessories!
Tuesday, June 26, 2012

Pulling off the nautical trend without going full-on "sailor" can be a bit tricky, but some summery wardrobe staples never fail to get the point across stylishly. The perfect striped tee, trendy takes on the boat shoe, raffia totes and clutches – when worn in moderation, the whole "yacht party chic" look can be accomplished without verging on costume-y, and that less-is-more mentality continues this summer with striped accessories. Sunglasses, belts, bags, and more – these simple yet stylish pieces add the perfect dose of nautical inspiration to any casual seasonal outfit, letting you embrace the trend without going overboard (pun intended)! You'll look and feel undeniably summery, but no one will be asking you to take them out to sea (unless, of course, you have a friend with a yacht)!

TheFind Guest Post: Vacation Vicariously With Korres Magic Light Contouring Trio
Wednesday, June 20, 2012

Not all bronzers are created equally, but considering how many different options we have for getting our summer glow on, some brands serve up some pretty close competition with each other. And while the prettiness of the packaging itself doesn't exactly rank in the higher end of importance given all the determining factors that go into choosing your perfect bronzer, it's certainly a suitable tie-breaker. And what bronzer could possibly look prettier than Korres Magic Light Contouring Trio? With its picturesque Grecian sunset compact and the embossed, gradient pressed powder inside, this bronzer looks prettier than a postcard – both on its own and when applied to your complexion. Subtle shimmer and radiant Goddess-like skin is yours in a few easy sweeps, whether you prefer using each of the three shades separately, or blended to create your perfect custom shade. Designed to contour facial architecture in the most flattering way possible, this bronzer is universally flattering and never harsh, so consider kissing all competing bronzers goodbye, whether or not you have your own Grecian getaway in the works! - Alexandra Gambardella

TheFind Guest Post: Sneakers Get Spiked for Summer!
Wednesday, June 13, 2012

Even if your days of forging doctors' notes to get out of gym class are long behind you, you should still be able to appreciate the sneaker for its non-athletic purposes. After all, they're far more comfortable than your average stiletto heel (at least, they should be!), allowing you to go the extra mile in your lengthy shopping endeavors. Plus, the newest spiked additions to the sneaker family will have you appreciating their ability to make a statement as well! From spike-embellished hidden wedges to all-over spiky high-tops, these edgy takes on the tennis shoe may be a bit too dangerous to rock on the court, but they're perfect for pairing with your favorite cut-off shorts or skinny jeans for an updated, moto-inspired summer look!

TheFind Guest Post: Blouses Got Back! Our Favorite Open-Back Tops For Summer
Thursday, June 07, 2012

From tanks and tees to button-down blouses and more, all of our favorite summer fare is getting the open-back treatment! We've seen cheeky peepholes and shoulder cut-outs make their way onto our favorite styles through the spring season, and now for summer, things are getting even breezier with open-back blouses. Romantic draped cowl-back styles, playful cut-out shapes, and curved hem button-back blouses put a whole new spin on bringin' sexy back (sorry, I couldn't resist), and put a sultry new spin to showing just the right amount of skin! Of course, backless styles always beg the 'bra or no bra' dilemma, and if going braless isn't your thing (we're not all so daring!), don't fret – play up the open-back style by showing off a contrasting swimsuit underneath for a stylish beach day or barbecue, or equip yourself with a sexy lace bralette to play peekaboo with skivvies that were designed to be shown!

TheFind Guest Post: Prep For Unexpected Spring Weather With a Colorful Anorak
Monday, May 07, 2012

As much as the spring and summer trend reports and lookbooks will have us believe that the months ahead are full of nothing but sunny skies and perfectly warm weather, us fashionable realists know that your wardrobe needs to be prepared to face the unexpected while still suiting the season. I can't speak for the rest of the world, but San Francisco is known for throwing its inhabitants for a loop despite its relatively mild weather, and luckily we can stay spring and summer-festive while still being equipped for a sudden downpour, ensemble-ruffling wind, or a chillier-than-usual June or July night. Colorful anoraks let you cover up, serving as a lightweight jacket that'll guard against the elements, yet is still undeniably warm-weather appropriate! Short or cuffed sleeves keep the look fresh without making you break a sweat, while bomber styles and cinched waists provide a feminine yet sporty fit that'll complement your outfit instead of just covering it up!

TheFind Guest Post: Sheer Polka Dots For Spring Are Sexy Yet Sweet!
Monday, April 23, 2012

The fashion world loves polka dots these days, but even if you're not normally a fan of their throwback feel, there are ways to modernize the look that's sexy and sophisticated while still maintaining the print's classic whimsy. Sheer polka dot blouses give you the perfect balance of retro elegance and updated chicness, for a look that's lightweight, breezy, yet polished for spring.. The sheer sexiness of this Equipment 'Bailey' Mini Dot Blouse off-sets its conservative buttoned-up silhouette – pair with a lacy bralette underneath, if you're feeling daring, or a more modest coordinating cami. Tie-neck blouses continue to be in for the season ahead, so sass up your typical work ensemble with a romantic sheer top like this one from Forever 21 (just make sure you have the appropriate coverage underneath, of course!). And lastly, if you're looking for something a bit more dramatic, try this exaggerated-sleeve Haute Hippie 'Gypsy' Blouse tucked into a fitted skirt to balance its extra volume!

TheFind Guest Post: Beat The Heat With These Neon-Accented Sunglasses!
Monday, April 16, 2012

I know it seems counterproductive to beat the sun's blinding rays with a pair of even more blindingly bright sunglasses, but sometimes fashion surpasses all logic aside! After all, these super-cool neon shades are hard to pass up! If you haven't already noticed, it's going to be pretty hard to avoid eye-popping neons for the upcoming spring season so far, so even if you're not much of a nu-raver – or still consider the 90s to be the worst decade ever (*gasp!*) – you might as well embrace the trend and use it to your own advantage. After all, neon looks awesome against a summer glow, so if you can't beat 'em, join 'em! To pull off this trend without looking like you bounced off the stage of Kids Incorporated (remember that show?), or worse - like you just bought your accessories from the local 99 cent store, the key is to stick to fashion-forward silhouettes or strategic neon detailing, so the look is edgy and chic instead of dated, stale, or cheap. For example, these GaGa-esque square shades are white hot, with the perfect dash of neon orange just at the sides. These circular-framed Karen Walker sunnies and Emporio Armani aviators take a similar 'less is more' approach when it comes to neon, keeping their highlighter yellow details to just the side panels. And if you're willing to embrace the neon-framed trend head-on with all-over neon, try out these Kate Spade Florence Broadhurst cat-eye frames for a sexy retro-modern look!

TheFind Guest Post: Suit Up This Spring in a Bold, Bright Blazer!
Monday, April 09, 2012

Blazers of all kinds – cropped, tuxedo, jersey, leather, boyfriend, you name it – have been a staple in both the office and more casual streetwear ensembles for quite awhile now, but this spring and summer they're getting the candy color treatment! Color is majorly in for the warmer months ahead, and a bold, bright blazer is the perfect way to jazz up the ho-hum of your workday or infuse some serious punchiness into your typical night-out ensemble. Coral, turquoise, yellow, and beyond – several spring-festive colors look surprisingly sophisticated when worn over a neutral-toned dress or even a basic tank and jeans with platform pumps. Of course, it's important not to go too overboard with color – make sure these blazers serve as a statement piece within your outfit. Too many brights fighting for attention within the same ensemble may have you looking like Effie Trinket from The Hunger Games... and I don't think the world is ready for the Capitol's fashion taste just yet!

TheFind Guest Post: Spring Obsession: Heart LR by Loeffler Randall Clogs!
Thursday, March 29, 2012

Maybe we're a little tardy for the party (though in this case we'd like to consider it fashionably late, of course), but now that the weather is warming up, it finally seems appropriate to celebrate Loeffler Randall's capsule collection, Heart LR, which first launched back in February. The Valentine's Day 'birth' of Loeffler Randall and Sven Clogs' lovechild hardly went unnoticed in the middle of winter, but now we really can't get our hands on the spring-festive offerings! Designed as a slip-on-and-go extension of Loeffler Randall's Spring/Summer 2012 Collection, these fun-and-funky sandals serve up a a healthy dose of clunky soles, stripy laces, and goes-with-everything neutrals with the occasional pop of neon yellow and metallics. Described as what the typical Loeffler Randall gal would wear on the weekend when she wants to be breezy yet stylish, these clog sandals are the perfect spring and summer fare for all our vacationing wardrobe needs! And we can't lie – the downsized price tag doesn't hurt, either!

TheFind Guest Post: RGB + Tenoversix Combine Forces To Create a Polish For the Platinum Blonde
Thursday, March 22, 2012

Leave it to two kick-ass Los Angeles-based brands – RGB and Tenoversix – to join forces and create the ultimate trend-setting nail color, just for the platinum blondes (and the inner blonde in all of us, of course). The cutting-edge spring color, called Blonde on Blonde, takes cues from Hollywood's favorite nude nail trend as well as new fashion-forward peach lacquer shades, and the result is an opaque shade that's rich and milky but reads fresh and pinky on the hand, perfect for the season ahead. RGB is no stranger to chic collabos – the brand recently combined forces with celebrity nail artist Jenna Hipp for an awesome line of nail foundations – while Tenoversix's Creative Director Kristen Lee is all about taking advantage of a killer partnership with the trendy polish brand to spread the platinum blonde pride with fellow RGB fans! What do you think – would you spend $16 on this limited-edition platinum shade, with or without having the roots to match?

TheFind Guest Post: We're Sprung On These Spring Floral Blazers!
Thursday, March 15, 2012

The blazer has come a long way from its traditional (and stuffy?) professional roots, and is now a casual-wear staple that serves to help modern fashionistas like us easily transition from day to night, work to happy hour, and beyond. It's survived many updates, from the boyfriend style to the short and cropped tuxedo jacket, and this season it's going through a new, spring-festive transformation: florals! A floral blazer is the perfect transition piece for the month ahead, as it instantly brightens up your winter wardrobe in a way that's cheery but won't leave you chilly, and it can still take you through the later summer months for those cooler sumer nights. I adore this Pim + Larkin Blazer from Piperlime – its lightweight feel, energetic print, and laid-back fit make it a great layering piece for the gal who loves to mix prints and textures. For something with a little more of a tropical vibe, this Alice + Olivia blazer doesn't miss a beat! Wear it with a solid dress or a basic tank and jeans to make sure it doesn't have to fight for the spotlight! And if you're looking for a fanciful update to your traditional denim jacket, this floral denim blazer from Free People is cute and cropped – perfect for layering over a simple sundress for instant spring appeal!

TheFind Guest Post: These Ikat Prints Make For The Ultimate Fancy Pants
Thursday, March 08, 2012

Tribal-printed shorts were all the rage (do people still say that?) last spring and summer, and before I even had the chance to get used to the idea of drawing so much attention to my rear, the trend has already evolved and left me in the dust! This season, ikat is taking over full-length pants too, and while they certainly aren't made for everyone, when done right, the look is the perfect blend of fun and sophisticated. If you're a fan of the colored denim fad, takes things a step further in the more adventurous direction with these pastel ikat-printed skinny jeans by AG by Adriano Goldschmied. Ready for something a bit dressier than denim? MICHAEL Michael Kors' Silk-blend Pants are certainly a statement-maker with their purple and black print. And if you're lucky enough to have a body type that will allow you to wear harem-style pants without looking disproportioned or just plain ridiculous, these bright and silky Matthew Williamson Ikat Harem Pants would be gorgeous with a blazer and heels for a night out, or a tank and espadrilles for a laidback-luxe daytime look.

TheFind Guest Post: Indulge in Some Spring-Festive Pastel Denim!
Monday, February 27, 2012

I know what you're thinking – just because it's spring doesn't mean you have any desire to look like an Easter egg. In fact, you probably have an aversion to anything overtly Easter themed ever since you became old enough to dress yourself for family gatherings. But hear me out! Pastel denim is hot for spring because it's a softer take on last year's in-your-face brights, making it easier to coordinate with the rest of your wardrobe. Think of it as a stepping stone in the easier-to-pull-off direction for us gals who don't have a knack for purposeful mismatching... or just don't have the guts to go out with our thighs and derriere covered in crayola-inspired brights. But that doesn't mean this trend is "dumbed down" – pastels are fashion-forward in the sense that they challenge us fashionistas to embrace more color in our everyday basics and find our own way to make pastels look chic, no bunny ears required!

TheFind Guest Post: Winter Must-Have: Skinny Cords in Crayola-Inspired Brights!
Monday, February 20, 2012

While much of this season's winter fashion fare seems to be all about the sexy neutrals - faux fur vests, leopard and snake print accessories, cozy charcoal sweats, etc, there's still plenty of room for color! In fact, the ultimate comfy-chic pant - skinny cords - are getting amped up with all sorts of candy colors in every shade of the rainbow. Forget military-inspired skinny cargo pants and gray denim - this season is all about pairing your favorite dreary-weather sweaters and knits with bright pops of color. And don't worry about looking like Rainbow Brite - as long as you keep the rest of your look fairly muted (let's not go overboard!), the look is fresh and fun without making you look like a human crayon (or a whole box of them, for that matter)! Electric royal blue, hot coral, festive red, banana yellow.... What colorful cords do you have your eye on?

TheFind Guest Post: A First Sneak Peek at Marni for H&M!
Monday, February 06, 2012

Following their fanciful fruit-printed Versace resort wear (that swiftly sold out) and the deliciously-promoted David Beckham "bodywear" collection, H&M continues their full-steam-ahead approach by rolling out yet another designer collaboration for early 2012 - Marni for H&M. While the collection was first announced back in November, it wasn't until very recently that we avid designer-for-less fans actually got a glimpse at what the capsule collection had to offer.... and while it's certainly only a teaser (and a leaked one, at that!) we're by no means disappointed! Earlier reports hinted that Marni designer Consuelo Castiglioni would be focusing on classic Marni designs featuring signature prints - bringing us fans a true designer-look-for-less feel that's recognizable but not dumbed down. And based on this first look-see, I'm loving the moody-yet-lively vibe of the pieces and the ad campaign itself. Our appetites have only been whetted for more jewel tones, texture, and gorgeous prints... and of course, for the upcoming video campaign directed by Sofia Coppola! What do you think - are you intrigued by what lies ahead from Marni and H&M?

TheFind Guest Post: Go Fancy in Feather-Embellished Pumps
Friday, January 27, 2012

While feathers may not be treasured as dearly as the more popular animal-inspired embellishment, faux fur, this holiday season, feather details are having a serious moment. Platform pumps and strappy heels are getting fancied up with feathers of all kinds, from dramatic statement-making peacock to wispy bursts of color and texture that are sure to steal the show at your next holiday cocktail party. Who cares if you have nothing to wear - bust out your tried and true little black dress and slip on a pair of these festive feathered heels and you've got yourself a look-at-me new look that's right on-trend, no matter how many times you've recycled the same dress! If a lofty price tag doesn't make you cringe, you must take a look at these fierce suede heels from Chiara Ferragni, but if you're on a more modest budget (with just the slightest wiggle room for splurging), these Kate Spade pom-pom heels have loads of character! Seeking a pop of color? Look no further than these Enzo Angiolini Thaddea ankle-strap pumps, or these sexy purple platforms from Nine West!

TheFind Guest Post: Our 5 Favorite Convertible Mittens For Easy Cold-Weather Texting!
Thursday, January 19, 2012

Although it's safe for us shopping addicts to officially start welcoming spring trends, unfortunately the weather doesn't often know how to keep up with our fashion-forward tastes. In other words, let's be honest with ourselves - it's still freakin' cold out, so you shouldn't feel like you're "out of season" for equipping yourself with some cold-weather must-haves you can actually enjoy now! One of my favorite wintry accessories this season has definitely been the convertible mitten. Unlike fingerless gloves, convertible mittens help you get the best of both worlds by giving you wiggle room to text, but also providing the option to take cover with a cute buttoned mitten extension for extra-chilly days. Sure, they're not the most streamlined or sleek of glove styles, but they're pretty awesome for multi-taskers like me who love to bundle up but also value freedom to carry out basic functions (like operating a touch screen)!

TheFind Guest Post: Cold Weather Doesn't Stand a Chance Against These Puffer Vests!
Monday, December 19, 2011

I remember when puffer vests were really big in my middle school years. I wore those things like they were going out of style... probably because they were. But like most fads, what once was old is new yet again, and sure enough - fifteen years later - the puffer vest has re-emerged has a must-have in the fashion world as well as the snowboarding slopes. These modern takes on the sporty vest fit so seamlessly with our winter wardrobe because they have that utilitarian vibe without being overly functional. Don't get me wrong - these down-stuffed little numbers are definitely cozy, but with a more lightweight feel comes easier layering potential, and more fashion freedom to incorporate these vests into your outfit without overpowering the rest of your look. After all, if you've ever owned a puffy coat or vest, you know how easy it can be to drown in all the comfy puffiness... or look like an astronaut, thanks to the metallic silver vest my mom made rock in 5th grade. So my only advice is to be mindful of bulk when it comes to shopping for the perfect warm layering piece for winter!

TheFind Guest Post: Warm Up to a Good Cause with Scarlett Johansson's Neff Beanies
Monday, December 12, 2011

Scarlett Johansson is probably most known for her girl-next-door appeal, even in her most glamorous moments on the red carpet. She's the celebrity you want to hate (because your boyfriend has this huge crush on her) but you just can't, because she just seems so darn... real. Ugh! And if you thought it was hard enough to hate her as it is, she's now putting her celebrity platform to good use with a collaboration with Neff Headwear to fight cancer in the name of cold-weather wear. Scarlett has teamed up with the sporty brand to create two specially designed beanies, available only at Zappos, with a fraction of the proceeds going to City of Hope - one of the leading cancer research and treatment centers. These cotton beanies are not only just about the coziest stocking stuffer you can hand out this year, but they truly are the gift that keeps giving - up to 5,000 purchased beanies are matched with a beanie donation to City of Hope's cancer survivors, while every purchase after that earns City of Hope a 10% donation. Hats off to that, Scar-Jo!
