A sample sale etiquette reminder
Ladies, please. When you're going to a sample sale, leave your boyfriend at home. When in the chaotic, free-for-all sample sale environment, men get that deer-in-the-headlights syndrome that renders them completely frozen, and they just get in the way. Annoyingly so. And I hate to say it, but many of them have the tendency to stare at the various women disrobing in order to try stuff on. Do you really want your man ogling other half-naked women? If you need someone to tell you how you look in clothing, bring a female friend (or at least a gay one), who at least will give you an honest opinion--because you know your guy is going to tell you that you look great in everything (and if he doesn't, maybe it's time to DTMFA). So, leave the bf behind, then model your purchases for him when you get home. Thank you.

Spoken like someone who doesn't have a boyfriend...

Duh. Cheryl has a boyfriend that she refers to as "MW". Get a life.

I totally agree. Boyfriends don't REALLY want to be there anyways. They just take up space. In fact, I feel sorry for guys that are standing around bored and knowing they are in the way of other people. The question is, why would you do that to your boyfriend? He'll think you are way cooler, not to mention independent and capable of making decisions on your own, if you don't try to drag him to store after store of women's clothing. Now, can we talk about doublewide strollers and husbands- PLEASE do not bring your entire family into small crowded stores on busy shopping days!

Better yet! Why doesn't everybody just stay home so I can shop by myself in an empty store!

I've got to agree with Cheryl (and the first comment is rude/silly). Boyfriends hate sample sales and there's never room for extra people. I don't understand this practice at all. Going to a sample sale would likely be my boyfriend's idea of hell.

Aw c'mon, those of us with small children also deserve to shop a sample sale -- if we COULD have found someone to watch the bb so we could shop without, we would have!

agreed - most straight dudes and sample sales don't mix. after hearing about the cavalli bloodbath, I'm not sure it's the best environment for a baby either...more for the baby's sake than other women.

Don't forget ladies, if there's nudity the boys will be looking. I must agree, leave them at home or drop them at the bar around the corner. And babies? I understand the babysitter problem, so how about bringing the smallest stroller possible?
