TheFind guest post: Leroy & Perry's Knitwear With a Conscience

Leroy-and-Perry

Lutz & Patmos' little sister line, Leroy & Perry is growing up green. Inspired by the two twenty-something girls who live in the West Village -one on Perry Street the other on, you guessed it Leroy Street. Of course they eat organic, dress in sweaters and tees, shop farmers markets and wear organic clothing as long as it's stylish.

Leroy & Perry is designed as two lines in one. One is 100% organic and the other pushes the environmental envelope researching eco-friendly dyes, recycled packaging and sourcing materials close to factories to save on fuel. All of this effort is to inspire others to be more conscious about the global warming and 1% of the proceeds from the collection go to ClimateProject.org.

The spring '09 collection includes six pieces: a shirred back cardigan, hooded anorak, patchwork cardigan, shirtdress, cape cardigan, and striped cami minidress and is available exclusively at Barneys Co-op.
