Fall 2011 New York Fashion Week in Review: Favorite Shows

In no particular order, here are my favorite shows of the season.

Chado Ralph Rucci
Slightly sexier—and more colorful—for fall, but as exquisitely made and luxurious as always.

 Tory Burch
One of the strongest points of view, with a polished, British-inspired take on the '70s trend and must-have palazzo pants.

Yigal Azrouel
An abrupt silhouette change toward tailored pieces mixed with neon brights, completely well-executed and fresh.

Rebecca Taylor
A pretty, wearable take on the '70s trend, complete with bright colors, soft textures and an all-around feminine look.

Christian Siriano
A more restrained, grown-up collection designed to sell, sell, sell (and that's good news).

Nanette Lepore
After days of exciting color, she made neutrals look irresistible again, with a pretty mixture of ethereal dresses and cozy knits.

Joy Cioci
A promising debut with interesting coats, sexy dresses, and a mix of textures for the modern girl.
